Menu Planning…Just a Big Tease
The weeone and I discuss the menu at our house each week. I find that if I give her some input she tends to be more adventurous in what she tries. Don’t get me wrong, I still can’t sell that kid on sushi, but it helps.
We select 6 meals and 1 dessert as of late. One meal is something there’s no way she’d eat, but I think sounds good and I make that on the night she has dinner with her dad. The other five are plenty to get us through the week as we’ll likely go out to eat at least one night.
I only choose one dessert because, frankly, I’m too darn tired by the after dinner hours to make dessert for the most part. But something like an ice cream, sorbet or the like can be made earlier in the day, and served for multiple evenings.
I’m going to try to start sharing my menu in advance. I know this is a big tease because I won’t always blog everything we eat. Sometimes it’ll be because it’s something we’ve had before, sometimes it’s because I don’t feel like photographing it.
